East Tennessee State University, located in Johnson City, Tennessee, was founded in 1911 with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for individuals in the region and beyond. As part of a comprehensive marketing campaign aimed at recruiting prospective high school students, I worked with ETSU’s admissions team to create the visual design of the primary email template and print materials. In the email design, I employed dashed curves to guide the viewer’s eye toward the primary call to action, while the use of angles and icons added visual interest. For the print mailer, I continued the use of angles to emphasize headlines and important elements, and to guide the student’s attention from left to right through the interior content.
